Construction Progress Update #10

Here we are folks, in the home stretch — we have only another two or so weeks of construction, and the resort is really coming together. Karen Robertson has struck once again, and the pictures are exciting!

This is looking south from just outside Bure No. 1.  In the foreground, our contractors are working on bed frames for the rooms.  You can see a couple craftsmen working on tiling the pool.

Here is an almost finished Bure No. 1.  You can easily see the polished concrete floor and tiles. The lighting is almost complete, and the built-in furniture is complete.  We really like the headboard and the shelf top.   Looks like a bit of touch-up painting is in the works as well.  The green-ish stacks are tempered glass louvers for the front windows.  The windows on the side are wooden.  At the far right of the frame is the frame of the french door.

Craftsmen are working on the tiling the pool.  Man, is that a lot of tiles. You can also see the infinity edge to the right of the frame, and the polished concrete edge around the lip of the pool.

A nice view of the pool's shallow end.  Another nice feature is the pool deck and floor of the salty fox  are on the same elevation.  No steps!

This is the exterior of Bure 1 looking north.  Note the french doors and finished windows.  Next stop — interior finish work and landscaping for our first guests!

With the breaking of the drought by the slight misting of rain (by Taveuni standards), the residents felt it necessary to have a bbq at the Salty Fox. Note the boxes of ceramic tiles to be installed at the left of the frame.
